This year's What a Load of Craft! will be held on December 12, 2009 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Building "C."


The Johnson County Fairgrounds are located at 4261 Oak Crest Hill Road SE in Iowa City (directly off Riverside Dr. aka Old Hwy 218)
There will be adequate signage directing you to the location on the day of the fair.
(There is a map and directions at the bottom of this page).

11 am: Doors open to public!
12:30 pm: Live music begins!

        Gem Sweater Creation featuring special guest emcee LESLIE HALL!!!
                Leslie will also present a lecture on the history of gem sweaters for your edutainment!

FROM THE SOUTH:

-Take HWY 218 N/IA 27-N North toward Iowa City
-Take exit 89 toward Riverside Dr./Airport
-Continue straight, the fairgrounds will be on your left

FROM THE NORTH:
-Take I-380 S/IA 27 S South toward Iowa City
-Continue on HWY 218 S
-Take exit 89 toward Riverside Dr./Airport
-Continue straight, the fairgrounds will be on your left

FROM THE EAST:
-Take I-80 W toward Des Moines/Iowa City
-Take exit 246 for IA-1/Dodge St
-Turn left at N Dodge St.
-Turn right at Burlington St.
-Turn left at S Riverside Dr.
-Riverside Dr. turns into Oak Crest Hill Rd.
-The fairgrounds will be on your right

FROM THE WEST:
-Take I-80 E toward Davenport/Iowa City
-Take exit 239A to merge onto IA-27 S/HWY 218 S toward Mt. Pleasant
-Take exit 89 toward Riverside Dr./Airport
-Continue straight, the fairgrounds will be on your left
